The Australasian Figbird, while strikingly colored in yellow and red, was nevertheless hard to glimpse through the thick green sclerophyllous leaves of the Australian bush. As I walked to class at James Cook University in Townsville, Australia I was captivated by the sound of a bird call and couldn't resist the chance to find the source. Luckily, I was able to find this male sitting on a branch calling out, possibly to a prospective mate.
When I look at this perfect picture, I can feel the peace that nature provides us. Nature is everything the world has to offer.
